How to use
- 1.The bar starts moving automatically. Watch closely behind it.
- 2.If you see a faint trail or shadow following the bar, your monitor has ghosting.
- 3.Use Fullscreen for the most accurate result.
- 4.Increase speed to stress-test your monitor's pixel response time.
- 5.Try different backgrounds, since ghosting is more visible on some colors.
What causes ghosting?
Slow pixel response time: pixels take too long to change color, leaving a trail. Common on VA panels.
Overdrive set too high: inverse ghosting appears as a bright halo ahead of moving objects.
Low refresh rate: 60 Hz screens show more ghosting than 144 Hz or higher at the same speed.
