How to Fix it when Mint Mobile Data is Not Working

When Mint mobile data isn’t working, reboot your phone network. Don’t worry; it is quite easy.

Just turn on the Airplane Mode on your phone for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, turn it off. This will reset your phone network and get your Mint Mobile data working again.

If this doesn’t work, restart your smartphone, turn off the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, reseat your SIM card, and and reset the network settings.

The instruction in this guide applies to both iOS and Android phones.

Wait? Have you exceeded your Data Limit?

Check your data usage by logging into your Mint Mobile account. If you have exceeded your plan, you will need to upgrade your plan.

You can also check it in the Mint Mobile app under the Data tab.

Sometimes a simple restart is all it takes to fix mobile network problems. So, restart your phone and see if it connects to the internet.

Quick Fix for Android users

Send a text message with SETUP in body to 6700. If you have a compatible Android device, you will receive a message to automatically install the APN settings.

If your device doesn’t support automatic setup, you’ll receive manual instructions instead.

Disable VPN

If you are using VPN to connect to the internet, the VPN may be disrupting your connection.

iOS

  1. Open Settings -> General.
  2. Toggle the switch to off for VPN.

Android

  1. Open Settings. Tap on Network and internet and then tap on Advanced.
  2. Tap on VPN.
  3. Tap on the VPN your phone is connected to and then tap on Disconnect.

Re-insert SIM

Another effective method that has worked for many users is removing and re-inserting the SIM.

Remove your Mint Mobile SIM card from your mobile, then re-insert it.

This would also restore the default Mint Mobile APN settings on your phone.

Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

While this is rare, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can interfere with mobile network connectivity.

Also, when you are near your home Wi-Fi, but the signal strength could be stronger, your phone will mostly connect to Wi-Fi instead of mobile data.

So turn off your phone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and see if it fixes the problem.

Reset Network Settings

You might have to reset your phone network setting if none of the above works.

Here’s how to do that:

Remember that resetting the network settings will erase all your saved Wi-Fi network details, so you must reconnect.

iOS

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to General -> Transfer or Reset Phone.
  3. Tap on Reset.
  4. Tap on Reset Network Settings.

Android

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to System -> Advanced.
  3. Tap on Reset.
  4. Tap on Reset network settings, and then tap again on Reset Settings.
