Alcatel LinkZone 2 Wi-Fi is Connected But Has No Internet?

When your LinkZone 2 device Wi-Fi is working but it isn’t connecting to the internet, enable the high performance mode and disable automatic standby feature in your device settings.

Here’s how to do that:

  1. Open the web-browser on your mobile phone or laptop, which is connected to your LinkZone 2 Wi-Fi.
  2. Visit mobile.hotspot or 192.168.0.1 in the browser. Log in with your device details.
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. Under Wi-Fi Performance Settings, select the High Performance and click on Apply button.
  5. Next, under Wi-Fi Sleep Settings, set the Sleep Time to maximum or disable it.
  6. Click on Apply button. See the screenshot below:

If you are still getting Connected, No Internet error, restart your LinkZone 2, check the SIM card, update the device firmware, restore default APN settings, or factory reset it.

I will start with the simplest solution, so follow them in the order as explained.

Restart your LinkZone 2

A simple restart is often enough to fix all the issues on your LinkZone 2 Wi-Fi router.

To restart, locate the power button on your LinkZone 2 and press and hold it for 3 to 5 seconds. Then, keep it turned off for 1 minute. Turn it on again by pressing the power button.

If your device can still not connect to the internet, move on to the second fix.

Update the Firmware

If the issue on your LinkZone 2 is due to a glitch or bug, then it can be solved by updating its firmware.

Follow these steps to update the firmware of your Alcatel LinkZone 2:

  1. Open the web-browser on your mobile phone or laptop, which is connected to your LinkZone 2 Wi-Fi.
  2. Visit mobile.hotspot or 192.168.0.1 in the browser.
  3. Log in with your device details.
  4. Go to Settings -> Device Settings.
  5. Scroll down to Check for Updates and select OK. If any new updates are available, your device will install them.

Check if SIM Card is Faulty

A faulty SIM card may be another reason your LinkZone 2 device is not connecting to the internet. Install it in your mobile phone to confirm if the SIM is faulty.

If it does not work on your mobile phone, you will need to get a new SIM.

Restore APN Settings

APN settings stand for Access Point Name Settings. Since Alcatel LinkZone 2 uses mobiles SIM to connect to the internet, these settings are required to connect to data services and to generate an IP address.

The good news is that your carrier automatically sets these settings. So, if you have recently manually changed these settings, your Linkzone won’t connect to the internet.

To restore the default APN settings, remove the SIM card from your device, turn it Off, and install it back in.

Reset your LinkZone 2

If none of the above methods work, and your Alcatel LinkZone 2 can still not connect to the internet, restoring its factory settings is the last resort.

Here’s how to reset your Linkzone 2 device:

  1. Connect your phone or PC to your LinkZone 2 hotspot. Open the browser and visit mobile.hotspot or 192.168.0.1
  2. Log in with your device details.
  3. If you don’t know the password, it is written on the inside of the back cover of the Link zone.
  4. Go to Settings -> Device Settings.
  5. Scroll down to Reset Factory Settings and click on the Reset button.

If this doesn’t work, restart your LinkZone 2, check the SIM card, update the device firmware, restore default APN settings, or factory reset it.

If none of the above solutions works, and you still have trouble accessing the internet after connecting to your Linkzone, contact your carrier to confirm whether the problem is at their end, or the with device hardware.
